Time & Gift Corner

You can find Time & Gift Corner inside the Vinayaka Complex, which is on Dinnur Main Road in RT Nagar. The shop number is 24/4. It is a small corner of the building, which is why we called it that. We have a lot of clocks on the walls, and the sound of all those different ticks can be a bit loud if you aren't used to it. Beside the watches and clocks, there are various gift items scattered around. We try to keep things in some kind of order, but new items come in and the shelves get crowded pretty fast. RT Nagar is a lively neighborhood, so there is always someone walking past the complex. I usually sit near the front where I can see who is coming in. The counter is glass and it has scratches from years of people leaning on it to look at watches. We do some basic repairs too, so there are usually small tools and tiny screws sitting on a tray. It’s not a high-end boutique or anything like that. It’s just a local shop where you can get a battery changed or buy a birthday present for a friend. We’ve been here long enough that most of the other shopkeepers in the complex are like friends. We share tea and talk about how the business is going. It’s a decent way to spend the day, even if it gets a bit noisy.
