The Sign Lab

The Sign Lab is on the 1st Floor at No. 12, right opposite Pillar No. 37 in Indira Nagar. We are very close to the Vivekananada Metro Station, so we hear the trains passing by all day long. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you’re here, you can see the street clearly. We spend our days cutting vinyl, smelling glue, and looking at bright colors. The space is filled with rolls of material and scraps that we haven't thrown away yet. We don't have a fancy reception area. Usually, someone is hunched over a work table with a craft knife or a ruler. Being near the metro station means there’s always a crowd outside, which makes the area feel alive. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, and we’ve gotten used to the vibration of the trains. Sometimes the light in the shop isn't the best, so we use extra lamps when we are doing detail work. We aren't a big corporation with lots of rules. We just come in, put on our aprons, and start working on whatever sign is next on the list. If the weather is nice, we leave the window open, even if the traffic noise is a bit loud. It’s just how we work. We focus on the letters and the shapes until they look okay. It is a messy process sometimes, but we like seeing the final result.
