The Drummers Institute

Our spot is in HSR Layout, specifically near the Chandlodiya area, at number 797. It is a place where there is almost always some kind of rhythm going on. If you walk by, you will likely hear someone practicing a beat or a fill. We are The Drummers Institute, but it is really just a bunch of rooms with drum kits set up. It gets pretty loud, as you can imagine, so we have done what we can with the walls to keep the neighbors from complaining too much. It is not a fancy music school with marble floors and soundproof glass. It is more of a place where people come to hit things with sticks and figure out how to keep time properly. We have sticks lying around, some old cymbals that have seen better days, and stools that wobble a bit. The students range from little kids to older folks who just want a new hobby for the weekends. We don't have a big staff, just some people who know how to play and like teaching others the basics. HSR is a busy part of town, but our little corner is focused entirely on the drums. It is a bit dusty sometimes from all the movement and the wood chips from the sticks, but it is a real place for real practice. We just open up the doors, get the kits ready, and let people play. It is simple and it works for us.
