Down in Mambakkam Village, specifically at number 26 on the Vandalur to Kelambakkam Road, that is where you will find our building. It is a bit out of the main city chaos, which is nice. The drive out here has some trees left, though it is getting more built up every year. Inside, we have our setup for whatever production is running that week. The rooms are large and the ceilings are high. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep everyone moving. It is an industrial space, so do not expect plush carpets or soft lighting. We have heavy benches and stacks of materials waiting to be processed. The trucks come and go from the main road, making a lot of noise on the gravel. We spend a lot of time checking the machines and making sure the settings are right. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment is due to go out. Lunch is usually eaten together in the small break area. It is just a group of us working hard to keep the operations smooth. We do not spend much time on office decorations. Most of our focus is on the floor where the real work happens. It is a steady rhythm of packing and loading. We have been here at Mambakkam for a good stretch now and we know the locals.
