TE CONNECTIVITY (FORMERLYTYCO ELECTRONICS CORPN I LTD)

We are over at 22b in the Doddenakundi 2nd Phase Industrial Area. Some people still call us by the old name, Tyco, but we’ve been TE CONNECTIVITY (FORMERLYTYCO ELECTRONICS CORPN I LTD) for a good while now. Being on Whitefield Road means we deal with a fair amount of Bangalore traffic every single day. The industrial area is quite sprawling, and our spot is just one of many in this busy sector. It’s a large facility because we have a lot going on at any given time. The floors are mostly gray concrete and the lighting is that standard bright overhead stuff you see in factories. We’ve got rows of workstations and a lot of cabling everywhere. It’s a functional environment. There isn't much in the way of decoration, maybe a few old calendars on the walls. We have a small canteen where everyone gathers for tea and a chat during the mid-morning break. The noise of the machinery is a constant background hum that you eventually stop hearing. Sometimes the rain hits the metal roof so hard you can’t hear the person next to you talking. We’ve got loading docks in the back that are always busy with deliveries coming in and out. It’s a fast-paced place, but we try to keep things orderly even when it gets chaotic. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We’ve been here long enough to know all the shortcuts through the side streets and where the food stalls are. It's home.
