Tawakkul Granites

We spend most of our time here at G 150 on LBS Road in JP Nagar. It is a dusty place because of all the stone work but that is just how it is when you deal with granite every day. We have been here for a while now. Usually, the mornings start with checking the stock and seeing what arrived on the trucks. People walk in from the neighborhood looking for slabs for their kitchens or floors. We show them what we have piled up in the back. Some pieces have better patterns than others. It is heavy work and our hands are always rough from moving the slabs around. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and air conditioning. It is just a yard with stone. If someone needs a specific size, we mark it out with chalk. Sometimes the rain slows us down because the ground gets muddy and moving the heavy pieces becomes risky. We just try to get the orders loaded onto the small tempos as quickly as we can so the drivers can get through the JP Nagar traffic. There is always noise from the nearby shops and the traffic on LBS Road never really stops. We drink tea in the afternoon while waiting for the next delivery. It is a straightforward business. We sell the stone we have, and we try to keep things organized even when the yard gets crowded with new batches of granite.
