Tata Power

Bangalore is busy, as everyone knows. Our branch of Tata Power is tucked away in the 560054 zip code area. It’s a bit of a concrete maze around here. We deal with the usual Bangalore traffic every morning just to get to the desk. The office isn't anything you'd see in a magazine. It’s got regular floors and windows that look out over the street. We drink a lot of coffee while handling the paperwork. There are computers and some old files stacked in the corners. It gets noisy outside with all the honking. Karnataka weather is okay most days, though. We are just a group of people working under the Tata Power name here in this specific corner of the city. No one here is trying to be a hero, we just do the work that’s assigned to us. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we take the stairs. It’s good exercise, I suppose. The neighborhood has a few small shops where we grab snacks. We’ve been at this Bangalore location for a good stretch of time. It feels familiar now. We don't have any grand decorations on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a map. It’s a practical space for practical people. We have a small water cooler that everyone gathers around. It’s just a normal workplace where we get through the day together. Even when the power goes out, we just wait it out. It's life.
