Taro Grills

Taro Grills is tucked away in Mandi Veerappa Lane which is just off Silver Jubilee Park Road at number 7. It is one of those narrow lanes where you really have to watch your step. We spend our days surrounded by iron rods and welding machines. The sound of metal hitting metal is something we don't even notice anymore but it probably bothers the neighbors. We make all sorts of grills for windows and gates. It is sweaty work especially when the sun is hitting the metal and the welding torch is going. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just a desk with some old papers and a lot of tools scattered around the floor. People come to us when they need something solid for their house. We don't use any high-tech machines, just our hands and some old cutters that have been with us for years. Sometimes the delivery truck can't even get down the lane so we have to carry the finished grills out to the main road ourselves. It is a lot of physical labor but that is just how it is. We don't do any big marketing or have a website. People usually find us because they live nearby or they saw us working while they were walking to the market. We just focus on getting the measurements right so the gate fits correctly when we go to install it.
