We operate out of a first-floor space on North Avenue Road. The building number is 27/35. Punjabi Bagh is a busy part of the city, so there is always a lot of traffic noise coming through the windows. Swain Oils & Chemicals is a small operation despite the long name. We have a few rooms filled with samples and desks. The air smells a little bit like industrial stuff sometimes because of the jars we keep on the shelves. It’s not a big corporate headquarters with a receptionist. Usually, one of us just walks to the door when someone knocks. We spend a lot of time checking prices and talking to the transport guys. The office is a bit old-fashioned. We have some metal filing cabinets that squeak every time you open them. We don’t do much advertising. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years in the industry. The stairs leading up to the first floor are a bit dim. We share the building with a few other businesses, so it gets crowded in the hallway. We just try to stay organized and get our tasks finished before the evening rush starts on North Avenue Road. It’s a plain, working office where we manage our distributions. We don't have a fancy lounge or anything. Just some chairs and a table where we look over the delivery notes.
