Suriya Chemicals

Suriya Chemicals is located right in the Vyasarpadi Co-Operative Industrial Estate. We occupy units 50 and 51. Being on Erukancheri High Road means there is a lot of truck traffic all day long. It gets quite dusty around here because of all the movement. Inside the units, things are organized but it is definitely a working space. There are drums and containers stacked up. We have been here for years. The floor is concrete and has some stains from old spills. It's not a showroom or anything like that. We mostly deal with the logistics of getting things in and out. The industrial estate has a lot of other businesses doing different things, so it's always loud with machines or loading. We have a small office area partitioned off where it is a bit quieter. The roof is high and we use fans to keep the air moving. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out. Our name is painted on the front wall but it's gotten a bit dusty over time. We know the security guys at the gate well. It's a practical place to work. No one wears suits here. We just get on with what needs to be done each day. The tea guy comes by at eleven and we take a short break then. It is a long walk to the main road from our unit if you are on foot. We stay busy with the routine and just focus on the task in front of us.
