If you walk down 9th Cross in Chamarajpet, you’ll find us at number 72/121. This neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, but we’re still here on the 2nd Main Road doing what we’ve always done. The air inside the building usually smells like a mix of different things, sometimes quite strong, depending on what we are working on that day. It’s an old building, so the stairs creak a bit and the walls have a few marks here and there. We spend a lot of time measuring things out and making sure the bottles are filled up properly. It’s steady work that requires a bit of patience. Our desks are mostly covered in old notebooks where we keep track of what goes where. We don't have a lot of fancy technology; we prefer doing things by hand when we can. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to say hello, which is nice. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background while we work. It’s not a high-pressure environment, but we stay busy enough. The sunlight comes through the windows in the afternoon and hits the dust motes, which makes the place look a bit peaceful for a while. We just handle the day as it comes, making sure we don't mix up the labels and that everything is ready for the morning. It's a quiet life, but it suits us just fine.
