Our place is tucked away at No. 51 in AM Lane, which is just off the main BVK Iyengar Road. The easiest way to find Suraj Electrical Industries is to look for BB Bakery, as we are right near it. The smell of fresh bread from the bakery is probably the best part of our workday. AM Lane is a very narrow street, the kind you see all over this old part of Bangalore. We deal with electrical parts and industrial goods all day. The shop is pretty full, with boxes and components stacked up high. It is definitely not a place designed by an architect. It is a practical, working space. The street outside is always filled with people pushing carts and trucks trying to navigate the tight corners. It gets very loud, especially when there is loading and unloading going on nearby. We just keep our heads down and focus on the orders. People from all over the city come to this market. We see a lot of different people every week, from contractors to local homeowners. It is a busy life, but we like it. We don't have a website or a social media page. People just know where we are and show up when they need something. It is how this market has operated for decades. We stay open late and just get the job done without any fuss.
