Our place is located at 928/928 Kamakshi Palya on Paud Road, right near Kaveripuram. It’s a busy area and we have been here at Sunrise Garment for a good while. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it works for what we do. Inside, there are rows of machines and a lot of fabric scraps on the floor by the end of the day. We mostly deal with the production side of things, so it’s a lot of cutting, stitching, and checking the seams. Some of the staff have been here since the beginning, and we all just kind of know our roles without having to talk about it too much. The heat can get a bit much in the afternoons, but we have some fans going to keep the air moving. We aren't trying to be some big corporate office. It is just a workshop where people work hard to get orders out. We have rolls of cloth stacked up against the walls and threads of every color you can imagine. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that's just part of being in this neighborhood. The street outside is usually busy with people heading to work or the market. We usually have a bit of a laugh during the tea break before getting back to the machines. It’s straightforward work and we like being part of the community here near Kaveripuram. It’s our local spot and we just do our job every day.
