You have to climb a lot of stairs to get to us. We’re on the second floor of the Nanda Gokula building. Hoovadigara Lane is quite narrow, so don't try to bring a big car down here. It's better to walk from Laxman Rao Road. Balepet is a crowded area but we like it. Up here, it’s a bit quieter than the street. We’ve got papers and files piled up on the desks. Sunil is usually on the phone or talking to someone who dropped by. It’s a busy office but not the fancy kind. We have old wooden chairs that creak when you sit down. The windows look out over the rooftops of the other shops. Sometimes we see the monkeys jumping across. We do a lot of different things here, mostly coordinating orders and talking to suppliers. It’s not always organized perfectly, but we know where everything is. The tea here is always hot because the boy from the shop downstairs brings it up every hour. We stay late most nights just to catch up on the paperwork. Balepet has a lot of history and we feel like part of it now. We don't have a fancy lobby. If you come, you just walk right in and find someone to talk to. It’s a practical place. We focus on getting the work done without too much fuss or ceremony. We just keep doing our thing up here on the second floor every day.
