Sundaram Motors

Sundaram Motors is situated at Doddabidrakallu 15. It’s a bit of a drive out here, but there is plenty of space for the vehicles. We spend our time looking at engines and fixing parts that have worn out. The workshop usually has a few cars in different stages of repair. There is always the smell of oil and grease around, which you get used to after a week or so. Our hands are rarely clean by the end of the day. We have a small area where customers can sit while they wait, but most people just drop their cars off and come back later. We aren't a big flashy showroom. It’s more of a practical place where work actually gets done. Sometimes the parts take a day or two to arrive, so we have to park the cars out back in the yard. It can get pretty busy on Saturdays because everyone wants their vehicle ready for the next week. We have a couple of mechanics who have been with us since we opened this branch. They know their way around most models. We don't talk much while we work, just focus on what needs fixing. The tea man comes around twice a day, which is something we all look forward to. It’s just a regular garage doing regular work for people who need their cars running properly. We stay until the last job is done for the day.
