Sun Nettings

We operate out of unit 33 in the Lokhandwala Complex in Banaswadi. Sun Nettings is basically what the name says. We spend our days measuring out mesh and netting for all sorts of uses. Most people come to us when they have problems with birds or just need some shade or safety covers for their balconies. The space we have is full of rolls of different materials. It’s not the neatest place you’ll ever see, because cutting netting creates a lot of little scraps that end up everywhere. We have a few machines for the heavier work, and there’s usually the sound of cutting or stapling going on. We are a small crew. We take orders, go out to look at the windows or balconies, and then come back here to prep everything. It’s physical work and our hands usually have a few scratches by the end of the week. Banaswadi is a decent place to be based. The complex is easy enough to find once you’re in the area. We don't spend money on fancy signs or brochures. Usually, one neighbor tells another about us, and that’s how we stay busy. We just focus on getting the netting hung up straight so it does its job. It’s simple work, but it’s what we do every day. There is always a lot of measuring and double-checking involved, but we’ve gotten pretty good at it over the years. We stay until the job is done.
