Sun Chicken Center

Sun Chicken Center is right at Mangammana Palya #68, and we’ve been here for quite some time now. Our day starts very early, often while most people are still asleep. We have to get everything ready before the morning rush starts. It’s a lot of cleaning, sharpening knives, and making sure the place is set up for the day. The smell of the shop is something you just get used to when you work here. We aren't a fancy supermarket with plastic-wrapped meat. Everything here is done right in front of you. Most of our customers are folks from the neighborhood who want something fresh for their family dinner. Sunday is our busiest day by far. The line usually goes out the door and we barely have time to look up from the chopping block. We know which families like their meat cut a certain way and who wants extra eggs. It’s hard on the back, standing all day on the wet floor, but it’s the life we chose. Mangammana Palya is a loud, lively place and we fit right in. The shop is simple, just the counters and the storage area. We don't have any marketing plans or big goals. We just want to make sure the meat is fresh and the weight is honest. It’s a basic business that serves the people living around us, and that’s enough for us.
