Sri Ganesh Enterprises

You can find us at No. 19 on the Uttarahalli Subramanyapura Main Road. We are really close to the police station, which makes it easy for people to find the building. Being on a main road means there is always traffic and the sound of horns, so it is never really quiet here. Sri Ganesh Enterprises has been our main focus for years. We spend the better part of the day sorting through supplies and talking to the people who walk in. The shop floor is a bit cramped because we try to keep a lot of variety on hand. Sometimes we have to move three things just to get to one item at the back. It’s a bit of a workout. My brother helps out with the lifting and the deliveries while I handle the customers and the phone calls. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still written down in big books because that's what we are comfortable with. The fan in the corner makes a clicking sound that we’ve stopped noticing. We just want to make sure people get what they came for without any trouble. It’s a straightforward way to make a living and we take it one day at a time. The neighbors are mostly other small businesses like ours, so we all look out for each other when things get busy.
