We set up shop at Plot 25/B in the Doddanakundi Industrial Estate a while ago. It’s a busy area of Bangalore, and getting through the traffic in the morning is always a bit of a challenge for the team. Our space is filled with sensors, wires, and control panels for the different setups we build. We spend our days trying to make machines work together without humans having to do every single step. It’s a lot of testing and re-testing. You’ll often find one of us hunched over a circuit board with a soldering iron or staring at a monitor trying to find a bug in the logic. The industrial estate is noisy, but we’ve got a solid set of walls that keep most of it out. We aren't a huge team, just a group of people who actually enjoy figuring out how things move and click together. We have a small pantry where we keep the snacks and a very old coffee machine that makes a terrible noise but still works. Sometimes we stay late when a project is close to finishing because we want to make sure the sequence is perfect. It’s not the cleanest work—we get plenty of dust and wire clippings on the floor—but we try to keep the workbenches organized. We don't have a big sales pitch. We just show people the systems we’ve built and let the machines do the talking. It’s practical work that requires a lot of patience and a steady hand. The commute home is long, but we usually have something to talk about.
