Sterling Lab

Sterling Lab is located in Midford House, which is part of Midford Garden, right off M G Road. It’s a bit of a hideaway despite being so close to one of the busiest streets in the city. You walk in from the chaos of M G Road and it gets much quieter. We’ve got rooms 104 and 105. It’s a laboratory, so things are kept pretty tidy, though there’s always a bit of clutter from paperwork and equipment. We do a lot of testing and analysis here. It involves a lot of sitting at benches, looking through microscopes, or waiting for a machine to finish a run. We don't have a big fancy sign outside, just a small one to let people know they’re in the right place. The building itself is older, which gives it some character, though the elevator is a bit moody sometimes. Most of us have been working in labs for a long time, so we’re used to the smell of chemicals and the need for precision. We don't really do much in the way of sales pitches. People come to us because they need an honest test result. We drink a lot of coffee, talk about the traffic on the way in, and try to get the reports finished before the end of the day. It’s a small, focused group of people doing their thing in the middle of a busy town. We've seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the lab stays mostly the same.
