Star Embroidery

Star Embroidery is located right in the heart of Chickpet. Our address is No. 231 on Rangaswamy Temple Street, though some people still know it as the old No. 74. If you know Chickpet, you know it’s always crowded and full of energy. Our shop is right in the middle of that. It’s a narrow street, and there are always people and carts moving past. Inside, we have our machines and a lot of thread. It’s a bit noisy when everything is running, but that’s the sound of work getting done. We’ve been here for many years, seeing the neighborhood change around us. The walls are covered with samples of what we’ve made over the seasons. It’s not a polished showroom. It’s a workspace. We have stools to sit on and big tables for laying out the fabric. Sometimes the lighting is a bit dim in the back, but we have lamps where we need them. We talk to our neighbors every day and keep an eye on the street. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We don’t use a lot of fancy technology for our day-to-day stuff, just our hands and the machines. If you come to visit, you’ll likely hear us before you see the sign. It’s a hardworking little place. We don't mind the chaos of Rangaswamy Temple Street because it feels like home after all this time. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders.
