You can find us at 205B in the Brooklyn Apartments on Banaswadi Main Road. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for a machinery business since it’s an apartment building, but it works for us. Standard Machinery Marketing Co.(P) Ltd. has been running out of Jai Bharath Nagar for quite some time now. We use a couple of rooms for the office and the rest is just storage for manuals and smaller parts. The traffic on Banaswadi Main Road is usually pretty bad, so we tell people to come early if they want to avoid the worst of it. We aren't a big shop with a window display. It’s more of a place where we handle the marketing and the sales calls. Sometimes we have clients sitting on the sofa in the living room area while we pull up files on the computer. It’s relaxed. We don't wear uniforms. The kitchen makes a lot of tea throughout the day. The neighbors are nice, mostly families, so we try to keep the noise down. It feels more like a home than a corporate office, which I think people actually like. We know the local shopkeepers and the guy who delivers the mail by name. It’s a quiet way to run a company. We just do our work and go home when the sun sets.
