You can find us at 49 Mahathma Gandhi Road in Mahalakshmi Layout. It is a busy street, so there is always a car pulling in or out of the driveway. We spend our days mostly covered in a bit of grease and road dust. Whether it’s an oil change or just a good wash, we are usually busy with something. The floor is often wet from the hoses, and there is the smell of soap and engine oil in the air. We have a couple of jacks and some basic tools that get a lot of use. It isn’t a high-tech facility, just a local garage where we look after people's vehicles. Some mornings we start early to beat the heat, especially when there are several cars lined up. We talk to the drivers about their engines while we work. The space is big enough for a few cars at a time, but it gets tight when the vans come in. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just a couple of plastic chairs by the wall. It’s a practical place for practical work. We’ve been in Mahalakshmi Layout for a good while now and know the local traffic well. Every day is different depending on what kind of mechanical trouble walks through the gate. We just do the job and move on to the next one.
