Sri Venkateshwara Polytechnic

Sri Venkateshwara Polytechnic is located out in Jingle Palya, which is right near the National Park in Bannerghatta. It’s a bit far from the main city, so the air is a lot clearer and it’s generally quieter out here. Most of our students are here to learn technical trades. You’ll usually find them in the workshops messing around with machines and tools. There’s always a bit of noise from the practical work being done, but that’s a good sign. It’s not the kind of place where you just sit and read books all day long. The students often have grease on their hands and dust on their clothes by the time they’re done. We have a mix of older equipment and some newer stuff we’ve managed to get over the years. The staff consists of people who have worked in factories and shops before coming here to teach. They know the real-world side of things. The campus is spread out a bit, and sometimes you see monkeys from the nearby park wandering around the edges of the yard. It adds a bit of character to the place. We have a canteen where everyone gathers for lunch and tea. It’s a very practical, hands-on environment without any of the fancy trimmings. People come here to get a diploma and learn a skill they can use. We just provide the space and the tools for them to do that work.
