About Sri Sai Furniture Works – Furniture in Bengaluru
If you walk down 50Ft Road in Hanumantha Nagar, you’ll find us at number 10/30, right near the Axis ATM. It’s a noisy spot because we’re usually cutting wood or hammering something together. Sri Sai Furniture Works is a small operation. We have wood shavings on the floor most days and the smell of polish is always in the air. We make tables, chairs, cupboards, and whatever else people in the neighborhood need for their homes. It’s not a showroom where everything is perfect and lit up. It’s a workshop. You’ll see pieces of timber leaning against the walls and half-finished projects sitting in the middle of the floor. People often stop by just to ask if we can fix a broken chair leg or make a small shelf. We don’t mind. We’ve been in Hanumantha Nagar for a while now and know many of the faces that pass by. Sometimes the 50Ft Road gets really busy and it’s hard to load the finished furniture onto the trucks, but we manage. We aren't using big industrial machines for everything; a lot of it is just manual work with hand tools. It takes time to get things right, but that’s just how furniture making goes. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the shop and our tools. We just focus on the wood and the work right in front of us, making sure it's solid before it leaves our doors.
