Our workshop is at 393 in the Laljipada area of Indira Nagar, Basaveshwara Nagar, over in Kandivali West. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the whole address. We focus on making small metal parts that need to be exact. The machines we use are old but they still run fine if you treat them right. We spend the whole day covered in a bit of oil and metal shavings. It’s the kind of work where you have to pay attention to the details or you waste a whole lot of material. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small team of us who have been doing this for years. We don’t have any fancy brochures. People usually come to us with a drawing on a piece of paper and ask if we can make it. We say yes or no based on what our lathes can handle. The shop is pretty dark and the floor is concrete, but it’s where we feel at home. It gets really hot in Kandivali during the summer, so we have a few big fans blowing all day. We don’t talk much while we’re working because the machines are loud. We just focus on the measurements. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living. We’ve been in this same spot for a long time and don't plan on moving. It works for us.
