Sri Jyothi Grinder

We are at Shop Number 10 on the 7th Cross of the Patel Chanapa Industrial Estate. It is situated just off the Andrahalli Main Road which is always packed with trucks and commuters. The industrial estate is a busy place with a lot of noise and activity going on from morning until night. Our shop is small and usually smells like metal and grinding stones. We have our machines set up in a row and there is always a layer of dust on everything no matter how much we sweep up. At Sri Jyothi Grinder we just get on with the tasks at hand. It is hard work and it can be quite messy but it is what we know how to do. The 7th Cross can be hard to find if you don't know the estate well because all the buildings look similar from the outside. We have a small bench outside where we sit during our tea breaks to get some fresh air. The work is physically demanding and by the end of the day we are usually pretty tired and ready to go home. We don't have a computer system or a fancy waiting room for people. You just come to the shutter and talk to whoever is standing there at the time. It is a very direct way of doing things and it works for us and the people who come here for grinding.
