Sri Golden Exporters

Bazaar Street is always a bit of a mess, but that’s where we are at 13-A. Sri Golden Exporters has been in this spot for a long time, and we’ve seen the street change quite a bit over the years. It used to be much quieter, but now there’s a constant flow of carts and motorbikes right outside our door. Being an exporter means we spend a lot of time on the phone and dealing with heaps of paperwork. Our office is filled with files and samples that have been sitting on the shelves for ages. We don't really bother with making the place look like a showroom because that’s not what we do. We’re here to get products from one place to another. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the middle of a hot afternoon, and we just have to sit there with the windows open and wait. It’s not the most glamorous job, but it’s what we know. The neighbors are mostly other traders, so we all know each other’s business. We have a small tea stall just around the corner where we get our chai twice a day. That’s usually when we take a break and talk about how the market is doing. It’s a simple life, really. We just show up, do the work, and hope the shipments go out on time without any trouble at the port.
