Sri Ganesh Saw Mill

The saw mill is located over at 58/1 Dasarahalli Hosur Main Road. If you drive past that way, you can usually smell the fresh wood before you even see the gate. It is a noisy place with the blades running, so we usually wear earplugs during the day. Sri Ganesh Saw Mill has been here for years, dealing with all kinds of timber and logs that come in on the trucks. The yard is mostly dirt and sawdust, and it gets a bit muddy when it rains, so we tell people to watch their step. We have got a few old machines that have been working hard since the day we opened. They need a bit of grease and attention every now and then to keep them going. There isn't much of a waiting area here. Most folks who come by are used to the dust and the sound of the saws. We just talk over the noise and get the measurements right. My family has been doing this kind of work for a while, so we know our way around different types of wood. It is physical work, and by the end of the day, everyone is covered in fine dust. We shut the gates in the evening and head home, then do it all again the next morning. It is a simple business on a busy road, and we like it that way. No one here wears a suit.
