Sri D. Y. Uppar

Sri D. Y. Uppar is basically a small operation based out of our place in Bangalore. Specifically, we are at No. 195, 5th Cross Gkw Layout in Vijaynagar. The area is mostly houses, so it is a bit quieter than the main city center, which we like. Seethalakshmi A.R. and M.S. Ramakrishna are the ones running things around here. We have a small office set up inside the house where we keep all the records and handle the daily tasks. Bangalore has changed so much over the years, and the traffic around Vijaynagar can be really tough if you don't time it right. We usually start our work early to avoid the worst of the noise from the street. Our setup is very simple. We don't have a big staff or a corporate lobby. It is just us doing what needs to be done. Sometimes we have people come by for meetings, and we just sit in the front room and talk things through. The rains can be a bit of a problem because the road outside gets messy easily, but we manage to keep things moving. We’ve lived here for a long time, so we know all the neighbors and the local shopkeepers. It is an honest way to work, and we don’t feel the need for any fancy signs or big marketing. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay organized with our folders and old ledger books. That is our routine.
