If you’re driving down Tumkur Road, you’ve probably seen the Sanjeeva Complex near T Dasarahalli. That’s where we are, at number 774/5. The studio has been here for a good bit, right in the thick of all that traffic. It’s often dusty outside because of the road work and the constant flow of trucks, but inside we try to keep things as clean as possible for the equipment. We’ve got backdrops that have seen thousands of faces over the years. Some days it’s kids coming in for school photos, other days it’s families all dressed up for a special occasion. We’ve got a lot of old frames stacked against the walls and drawers full of negatives from years ago. The lab part of the business keeps us busy too. There’s a specific smell of chemicals and paper that you just get used to after a while. Sometimes the printers act up right when we have a deadline, and those are the long days. We don’t have any fancy lounge for people to wait in, just a few plastic chairs. People usually just stand and chat while they wait for their prints. It’s a small space, and things can get a bit cramped when it’s busy. We’ve been part of this T Dasarahalli community for a long time now. Everyone knows where Sanjeeva Complex is, so they find us easily enough. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
