Sreekanteshwara Enterprises

You can find Sreekanteshwara Enterprises over near the Prasanna Theatre. We’re at 171 32 in Vijaya Nagar, right by Subhash Chowk in Gopipura. It’s a pretty well-known landmark, so people don’t usually get lost finding us. The shop has been here a long time. It’s a bit of a crowded area, especially when there’s a new movie playing nearby. We just go about our business and try to stay out of the way. Most of the folks who come in are regulars from the neighborhood. We know a lot of them by name. It’s not a corporate setup at all. More like a bunch of us trying to make a living and helping people out with what they need. The shelves are packed with stuff. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the exact thing someone is asking for, but we usually get there. The building is older, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it has character. We open up early and stay until the evening. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and carrying things, but it keeps us active. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a website that looks like a million bucks. We just have our physical shop and the people who walk through the door. It’s a simple life. We like it that way and plan to stay here for as long as we can.
