Sree Vinayaka Hard Chrome

You can find us over in Peenya 2nd Stage, right on Shivaji Road near the Henahalli bus stop. It's an industrial area, so it gets quite noisy and dusty with all the traffic and machines running nearby. We've been at 41A for a good while now. Our main thing is hard chrome plating, so the shop is always filled with the smell of metal and chemicals. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty within the first five minutes of the shift. We don’t have any shiny office space; it’s mostly just the workshop floor and the tanks where we do the plating. The guys here have been doing this for years, so we know the machines inside out. We spend most of our time standing at the benches or checking the thickness of the chrome. It’s a practical business. We see a lot of different parts coming through, from small rods to bigger engine components. Sometimes the bus stop gets really crowded and we see people waiting while we're loading up a customer's truck. We just keep our heads down and get the plating done. It’s not a glamorous job but it’s what we do. If you’re coming from the main road, just look for the bus stop and we’re right there. We try to stay organized but a busy shop always has something lying around. We handle the metal work with our own hands every day. It’s just how we run things here.
