Sree Harsha Construtions

My name is Shivakumar and I run Sree Harsha Construtions. We’ve been based in Garehatti, Chitradurga for quite some time now. My father, Rajashekar, used to be the one everyone talked to, but I have taken over the daily chores of the business. It is a lot of hard work getting these buildings up around town. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. We just work out of our family spot here in Karnataka. Local people know exactly where to find us if they need something built. We spend our days dealing with piles of bricks, bags of cement, and managing the local labor crews. It gets really dusty and loud at the sites, but that is just part of the job we chose. We keep ourselves busy with small residential projects and take on some bigger ones when they come our way. The weather in Chitradurga can be pretty tough on our schedules, especially when the rains start coming down heavy and we can't pour any concrete. We just try our best to get the walls straight and make sure the roofs are solid for the families moving in. Sometimes the materials don't show up on the day they were promised, which is always a big headache, but we manage to find a way. My phone is constantly ringing with guys asking about work or suppliers checking on orders. It is just how life goes for us.
