Space Design

We’ve been here at N J Chambers for a while now. It’s right on the Shivaji Nagar Main Road, so things stay pretty busy outside our windows all day. If you know where the Ramada Hotel is, we are just across from there. Most days we are just hunkered down over plans or talking to people about how to make their rooms look a bit better. The office isn't anything fancy, but it works for what we do. Being in Shivaji Nagar means there’s always a lot of energy, and sometimes a lot of noise, but that’s just how it is in this part of Bangalore. We spend a lot of time looking at materials and trying to figure out what fits where. Sometimes the traffic makes it a headache to get to site visits, but we manage. People drop in to ask questions or just to see what’s new in the world of design. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to get the drawings right and make sure the measurements are correct. It’s a lot of practical work, really. Sometimes we get a bit behind on the paperwork because we’re too busy with the actual layouts. If you’re ever around the main road, you’ll see our sign. It’s a decent place to work and we’ve gotten to know the neighbors pretty well over the years.
