About Southin Restaurant – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru
We are over in Koramangala 6th Block at number 56. If you know this area, you know how busy it gets with all the traffic and people walking around. Our restaurant is just a regular place to get South Indian food. We don't have any fancy air conditioning or velvet chairs. It’s just rows of tables and the sound of the fans overhead. The kitchen starts up before the sun is even really up so we can have the idli and dosa batter ready. We serve a lot of coffee in the mornings, and it’s usually quite loud with people talking over their cups. Lunch is the busiest time because of all the offices nearby in Koramangala. We have to move fast to get everyone fed before their break ends. Sometimes the service is a bit slow when every table is full, but we do what we can. We use stainless steel plates and tumblers because they’re easy to clean and they last forever. The floor gets a bit wet sometimes when we’re washing down the place between shifts. We’re not trying to be a five-star hotel. We just want to make sure the sambar is hot and the chutney is fresh. Most of our staff have been here for years and they know exactly how the daily routine goes. We just keep our heads down and work.
