Our place is at 683, 15th Cross Road in J. P. Nagar Phase II. It’s a nice enough area, though the street can get pretty busy with traffic during the evening rush. Soliton Technologies Pvt. Ltd. isn't some massive glass tower. We’re in a more modest building that fits into the neighborhood. Inside, it’s mostly rows of desks and a lot of computer screens. We do a lot of technical work, but we try not to make it sound more complicated than it is. There’s always a few half-empty coffee cups sitting around and some tangled cables on the floor. We don't have a dress code, so most of us just show up in whatever is comfortable. The break area is just a small table with a microwave and a jar of biscuits that’s usually empty. Sometimes we stay late when a project is giving us trouble, and we end up ordering food from the place down the street. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, but we do focus on the tasks at hand. We don't use a lot of big words or try to impress people with fancy talk. We just sit down, do the programming or the testing, and go home. It’s a practical way to run a tech company. We like being in J. P. Nagar; it feels more like a community than a cold business district. Most of us have been here for years.
