We operate Sobha Developers out of Puthan House, which is located in Elanthapadam, Karipode. It is a very different vibe here in Palakkad compared to the big cities. The surroundings are much greener and things move at a slower pace, which we actually prefer. The office is basically part of the house, so it feels very personal and lived-in. You might hear the local sounds of the neighborhood while we are working on our plans. We do a lot of our thinking and drafting right here. It is not a place with glass walls or shiny floors. It is just a sturdy house where we do our business. Karipode is a nice area where everyone knows everyone else. We have our regulars who drop by just to say hello or check on a project. Most of our day is spent looking at maps or talking to people about land and building stuff. We have a few old wooden tables and chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. We do not try to look like anything other than what we are. It is just a local business trying to do honest work for the people around here. When the monsoon hits, we usually have to keep the windows shut tight, but it is peaceful watching the rain from the porch. We are happy with how things are going in this little corner of Kerala and wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now.
