We are over at Illath House in Thayyur. It’s in the Thrissur district. Being out here in a place like Thayyur means it’s very green and peaceful. The office is basically just a house. It belongs to the family, so we decided to use it for the business instead of renting something in the city. You have to drive past a lot of coconut trees to get to us. The rain gets pretty heavy in this part of Kerala, so the roof makes a lot of noise during the monsoon. We usually sit on the veranda when we need a break. It isn't a high-tech office. We have our files, some computers, and a lot of pens that always seem to go missing. People from the village stop by sometimes just to say hello or ask about what we are building. We know everyone around here. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with formal meetings. We just talk over lunch or while we are walking to the site. It’s a very local way of doing things. The air is fresh and we don’t have to deal with the traffic of Thrissur town. If you’re looking for Illath House, just ask anyone near the Thayyur post office. They’ll point you in the right direction. We’ve been here for years and it works for us. It’s just a normal day here.
