Doddamani is an AEE Civil, so he’s always looking at the structural details for Sobha Developers. Being I.F. Doddamani’s son, he’s got deep roots here in Kadra. We aren't a big, impersonal office. It’s just a few of us working out of this house. We have blueprints spread out on every available surface. Sometimes it’s hard to find a place to put your tea cup. We focus on the civil engineering part of the construction. It’s a lot of checking measurements and making sure the materials are up to code. We don't have any interest in sounding like a big corporate entity. We’re just local engineers and staff doing our jobs. The Karwar district is a nice place to work, even if the weather doesn't always cooperate with our timelines. We just take it one day at a time. If there’s a problem on the site, we head out and fix it. We don't have any fancy mission statements. We just aim to build things that are safe and well-constructed. It’s a practical, no-nonsense way of doing things. The house gets a bit cramped with all the equipment, but it works for us. We go to work, do the calculations, visit the sites, and then head home. It’s straightforward and honest work for everyone involved here.
