Sobha Developers Ltd

We’re over in Kadra, specifically in the KPC Colony at house B-16/4. Sameer Doddamani, who is I.F. Doddamani’s son, handles things here for Sobha Developers Ltd. This part of Karwar is pretty quiet, mostly people working for the power corporation. Our office is just a regular house, really. It doesn't look like a big company headquarters, because it isn't. We just use it to manage the local construction work. There’s a lot of greenery around here, which is nice when we need a break. Most of our day is spent checking on the progress of the buildings. We have a few desks and a lot of maps and blueprints lying around. It gets a bit messy sometimes, but we know where everything is. The colony is a good place to be based. It’s safe and everyone knows each other. We don't have a big sign outside or anything. People who need us usually know where to find us. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking. We just make sure the walls are straight and the roofs don't leak. It’s a living. We’ve been in Karwar for a while now and we like the pace here. It’s not as stressful as the bigger cities. Just steady work and a lot of tea. Sameer spends a lot of time on his feet, making sure the guys on the site are doing things right. We keep it simple and just focus on the job.
