If you find yourself in Jangalapalli Village, just past the Mordhna Post, you’ll see our Sobha Developers Ltd office. We are located in the Gudiyattam area of Vellore district. It’s a rural kind of place, so things move a bit slower than they do in the big cities of Tamil Nadu. We like it that way though. Most of us grew up not too far from here. We do building and development work, but it’s mostly just making sure things are put together right. Some days we are out in the sun all day long. Other days we just sit inside and try to make sense of the new regulations. The village is quiet, and we try not to disturb that too much. We get our materials from nearby when we can. It’s a simple setup we have in Jangalapalli. No one wears suits or anything like that here. We just wear what is comfortable for the work. There’s a lot of trees around the office and it gets nice in the evenings. We’ve been part of the community here for some time now. People know to come to us if they have questions about the land or the local projects. We don’t do much advertising. Mostly people just hear about us from their neighbors or friends in Gudiyattam. It’s just how things work out here, and we are happy to be part of the landscape.
