We’re up on the second floor of 22/1, right there near 9th Cross in Puttanahalli. J.P. Nagar 6th Phase is a big area, so it takes a bit of time to explain exactly where we are with all the crosses and mains, like 24th Main and 15th Cross. It’s a typical Bangalore office building for Sobha Developers Ltd. We don’t have an elevator, so we get our exercise climbing the stairs every morning. The office inside is mostly just desks, a water cooler that makes a loud noise every hour, and a lot of filing cabinets. We’re usually busy with the back-end stuff for the various housing projects. It’s a lot of staring at spreadsheets and talking to engineers on the phone. The area around here has some nice trees, which is a relief from the heat. We usually go out for lunch at one of the small places on the main road. The team is small, so we all know each other’s business. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of site maps spread out, but we make it work. It isn’t a corporate showroom; it’s where the actual planning happens. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we just end up chatting while we wait for it to come back. It’s a regular, slightly disorganized workplace where people actually work and talk about their weekends. We've been in this spot for a few years now and it suits us.
