Skin Allergy & Cosmetology Clinic

Basavanagudi is one of those parts of town that still feels like the old days, and Gandhi Bazaar Main Road is the heart of it. Our clinic, the Skin Allergy & Cosmetology Clinic, is on the first floor at 71/96, right across from the Band Box. You can always hear the vendors shouting and the bells from the temple nearby. It’s a busy place, and getting up to the first floor is part of the daily workout. The office isn't very modern-looking, but it works for what we need. We deal with everything from itchy allergies to the more cosmetic side of skin care. The floors are that old tile that stays cool even when it’s boiling outside. I usually spend my time between the phone and the patients, and there’s always a lot to do. Sometimes the smell of jasmine flowers from the market downstairs wafts up into the waiting room. It’s a nice change from the usual medicine smell. We have a lot of older folks who have lived in Basavanagudi their whole lives coming in, along with younger kids. It’s a real mix of people. We don't have any fancy automated systems, just some notebooks and a calendar that we use to keep track of things. It's a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. It’s just our little corner of the bazaar where we help out whoever stops by with a problem.
