Site Supervisor

Working in JP Nagar 5th Phase is a lot different than the outskirts. We are right on 21st Main Mosque Road, so the traffic is always loud and there are people everywhere. I have been at this Ramaswamy Layout spot for a while now. My job is basically to stand around and make sure the builders are following the plan. I spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and then looking at the actual walls to see if they match up. It is a lot of walking up and down stairs before the elevators are even put in. Bangalore weather is usually okay, but the dust from the road gets into everything. I keep all the site logs in a messy notebook because the laptop always gets too dirty to use properly. Sometimes the materials do not arrive on time because they get stuck in the traffic near the main junction, so I end up sitting on a cement bag waiting for the truck. It is not a glamorous job, just a lot of checking on steel rods and making sure the concrete mix is thick enough. I talk to the neighbors a lot because they usually have questions about when the noise will stop. I do not have any fancy titles, I just make sure the work gets done. It is a busy life, but I like being out of the house. Most days I am just trying to keep the project on track.
