Site Engg

Site Engg is tucked away in G G Palaya, over by Yeshwanthpur in Bangalore. We are working out of the Taj Residency area, which is a busy part of the city to say the least. Being in Bangalore means we spend a fair amount of time just trying to get through the traffic to reach various sites. Our work is pretty much what the name says—site engineering. We don’t have a shiny glass building or a receptionist. Usually, it’s just us with our bags and measuring tapes, heading out to wherever the work is that day. Yeshwanthpur is a good spot because it’s connected to a lot of industrial areas, so we stay pretty busy. The office is mostly for keeping our records and having a place to sit when we aren't standing on a pile of gravel. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of mud and long hours involved. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with meetings and presentations. Most of our talking happens on-site, shouting over the noise of machines. It’s a bit chaotic sometimes, but that’s the nature of the city and the work. We just try to be useful and get the technical parts of the projects done. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of life here in G G Palaya, and we just keep moving forward with it. There’s always something new to look at on a different corner.
