It’s usually pretty loud around our place in JP Nagar 6th Phase. Being metal fabricators, there is always the sound of grinding or someone hammering away on a steel sheet. We are located over in Krishna Devaraya Nagar, right near the Yelachenahallli area. If you know the Kumaraswamy Layout, then you know it can get a bit crowded with traffic, especially in the afternoons. Our workshop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a practical space where we keep the welding machines and the raw steel stock. Most of the guys here have grease on their hands by ten in the morning, and that’s just how it goes. We don’t spend much time in an office because the real work happens on the floor. People come to us when they need something sturdy made, like window grills or heavy frames. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, with new houses popping up everywhere, which keeps the demand for iron and steel work fairly steady. It gets dusty, and the Bengaluru sun can make the roof quite hot in the summer months, but we have a good routine with plenty of tea to keep us going. We don’t do much advertising; usually, someone just walks in because they saw our sign or heard about us from a neighbor. We just try to get the dimensions right and make sure the welds are solid before anything leaves the shop. We’re just a local crew doing our best.
