Our office is tucked away in 201, Sri Sai Residency, which is right there on 1079, 5A Main Road in Mathikere. It’s a bit of a mix of residential and business around here, so you’ll see people walking their dogs right next to where we are trying to coordinate chemical shipments. It gets pretty crowded on the main road, especially when the college students are out and about. We handle speciality chemicals, which mostly means we spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets to see where everything is sitting. The room we work in gets a lot of afternoon sun, so it stays pretty warm unless we keep the windows open. We’ve been in Mathikere for a bit now, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street. There is a small tea stall nearby where we usually go when things get a bit too hectic inside. It’s not a massive corporate setup with hundreds of employees, just a few of us making sure the orders for the speciality stuff get processed without too many mistakes. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the corner desk, but we clear it out by Friday. Dealing with chemicals in a place like this requires us to be careful about the details, so we spend a lot of time double-checking the lists. It is just regular work, really, nothing too complicated but it keeps us all employed and busy.
