Our Bangalore branch for Simplex Infrastructures Ltd is tucked away in the Nitesh Estates building on Residency Road. If you know Bangalore, you know how the traffic is around here, so getting to the office in the morning is always a bit of a gamble. We’ve been at this 99 Residency Road spot for a while now. It’s a busy building with a lot of different companies, but we just stick to our corner and get on with the construction business. There’s always someone coming in with a hard hat or leaving to check on a site across the city. The office isn't anything out of a magazine; it's mostly just functional desks, some old computers, and a lot of filing cabinets that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time on the phone trying to coordinate with vendors and site managers. It’s a lot of juggling, really. We don’t have a big reception area with fancy lights. It’s more of a place where you walk in, grab a coffee, and start looking at the schedule for the week. The guys here are straightforward. We talk about the projects in plain English and try to avoid all that corporate talk you hear in the elevators. It’s a steady job in a fast city, and we’re just part of the furniture on Residency Road now. We don't mind the noise, it's just part of the day's work and we keep going.
