You can find us over at 1961, M.I.E. It’s a typical industrial area, so there is always the sound of machinery and trucks idling nearby. Our space is basically a large shed with a lot of heavy metal stuff lying around. It’s dirty work and our hands are usually covered in grease or dust by lunchtime. We don't have air conditioning, just some big fans that move the hot air around. It’s where we spend most of our lives. There’s a small office in the corner where the paperwork stays, but most of the action happens on the floor. We aren't much for talking, we just get on with the welding and the stacking. Everything is heavy here. Sometimes we have to wait around for materials to be delivered, which can be frustrating. We eat our lunch together near the main door to get a bit of a breeze. It’s an honest way to make a living. We’ve been in this unit for quite some time now. The walls are a bit stained and the roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains hard, but it doesn't stop us. We just put a bucket down and keep working. There isn't any polished marketing here, just the smell of iron and the sound of work. We do what we know how to do. Most of the guys here have been doing this since they were young.
